Welcome to the JSE/CIS teacher blog! I will be posting some helpful tools and tricks here.I invite all of you to share ideas that I can post as well. Also, this year I thought we could add a "Got Caught" award. This could be teachers, para's, students, parents, anyone who is doing something above and beyond! Our team is K-5 and we do not always see what others are doing on the "other" campus. This is a great place we can stay connected with the good news on each campus!
Just a few things I suggest for Meet the Teacher:
- Set up a Remind 101, its free and provides one way communication with parents. You send one message and it goes to all parents. Great for field trips, lunch, homework, and other important event reminders. Follow this link:
2. Create a Google Form for parents to fill out when they come meet the teacher. Add a field that asks is there is something you should know about their child. This will allow them to let you know without trying to take up your time while other parents are in the room. They also give good phone numbers for contact and email addresses. This way you can access the information anywhere. You can have these forms up and ready to go on the student computers or even create a QR code for smart phones.
